What would you do if your doctor told you that you only have 2 more months to live?
What would you do if your doctor told you that success rate for operation is < 30%?
What would you do??
Have you ever ponder what would you do if you are in such situation?
After going in and out of hospital umpteen times and later you were told that you only have 2 more months to live and even for operation, success rate is < 30% will you have the will to continue living? Or will you choose to end your life then?
I shall call him Mr A here.
Mr A was scheduled for an operation to remove of his cancerous cells. If he did not do so, he will only have 2 more months to live. Success rate for operation is < 30%. On that very day, he seek permission from the doctor for him to go back and settle his domestic things. Soon after, he was found lying down at his void deck. Dead. What if Mr A was push into the operation theater, would he be one of the <30% fortunate survivor?
That was how illnesses broke up families. Why is there incurable illness in the world? Why can't most people die naturally? Why can't most people die at old age? Why must it always be "Oh, so and so suffered from this illness. Few months later = dead"
I have also heard of people who was at their death bed, accepted Christ and pass away peacefully.
I have also heard of people who got brain tumor, accepted Christ and is happily married now. The brain tumor is under control and amazingly, with God's healing hand, the tumor shrink. Even doctor finds it a miracle.
What would Mr A be now if there were Christian who preach to him at the point of time? What would happen to Mr A now if he was touched by God's word and decided to receive Christ? Will he be saved?
I don't know. Its just a thought.
Diseases are evolving everyday, every minute, every second. We won't know what will be found few years down the road? Just like the major SARS for example, who knows this UNKNOWN virus took away so many innocent lives? No one know about such disease at all. I always feels that Saturn is having a party somewhere to celebrate whenever new virus(es) is/are born.
Old testament stated that our forefather live for few hundreds years before they pass away. Why don't we enjoy such benefits as our forefather?
Is it because that we are often pursuing materialistic things. Inventing weapons to harm other (end up harming yourself). Stress up with study and work. Stress up with all sort of things that happen surrounding you. Getting "radiated" by all the radiation that is being emitted by handphone/microwave/etc (daily electronic items). Are all these the reasons? I'm not sure but they does contribute in one way or another.
So what would you choose? To continue battle against the cancer or to end your life yourself or to seek healing power from God?
Its all your choice.
May the peace be with you always.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
Mammography can be done in polyclinics and they are upon appointment basis.
Breast Cancer is the MOST COMMON cancer among ladies. It can happen to men too. Statistically, more than 3 women are diagnose with breast cancer everyday. This might happen to anyone of us. Even me or you. Get your mammography done today for early detection. Ladies, don't have the mentality that "Oh, This won't happen to me." You might not knows that it could save your life if you get an early detection.
Some one close to me went for a mammography earlier September and reports came back found out there are some "changes" in her breast. This is a bad as we don't know what kind of changes is that? So she was referred to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for further checkout. The doctor done x-ray and ultrasound on her breast and found out that there is some "calcium" in one side of the breast and there is a need to have a small operation and extract out the calcium for futher test. (to test if it cancerous or not) All are done in 1 day. It is fast and efficient (but pain). Haha.
Less then 2 weeks, reports are out and she went back to get her report from the doctor. (Already think of the worst) Doctor gave her a good and bad answer. Good answer is that result reflected that the calcium that was found is not cancerous but to play safe, it got to be remove. (Just in case it mutated and become cancerous, only God knows)
Operation is then fix 2weeks later after obtaining the reports. It is to remove the calcium and the cells surrounding it. Let's pray that the operation turns well.
Just a simple mammography (SGD50 or so) actually dectect calcium (microcalcification) and it actually saves one's life/breast. Though the waiting period is scary. You kept thinking that you are suffering from cancer everyday and media is always showing on breast cancer issue almost every 2 days. But once the report's out and the assurance from doctor, it is like sunshine after the rain.
So ladies, I urge you got pick up your phone and make a appointment with your nearby polyclinic/hospital/private clinic/where ever you prefer.
Early detection, Save lifes.
Wishing you, Pink of health =)
